Chromecast Icon Missing (Android)

Are you using an Android device and missing the Chromecast icon? Then there are a few steps you can take to resolve this.

Check Connections

Verify the connection between the TV, Chromecast, and your device. Close the CycleMasters app. Restart the modem/router and the Chromecast to rebuild Wi-Fi connection and Chromecast. Then, restart the app.

Check App Permissions

Sometimes, reviewing the app's access to certain features of your phone can help. You can do this in your phone's settings under 'Apps' and then review the permissions of the CycleMasters app.

Clear Google Play Services Cache

If the above steps do not help, the issues may likely be resolved with the following steps to clear the cache of Google Play Services. This also includes the 'casting' service.

• Open the settings app on your device: The icon usually looks like a gear or cog.Scroll down and tap on "Apps" or "Apps & notifications": This may vary slightly depending on your Android version.
• View all apps or App info: Tap to view the list of all installed apps on your device.
• Find and tap on "Google Play Services": You may need to show system apps or locate it in the list of all apps, as it is usually not immediately visible with the default app list.
• Tap on "Storage" or "Storage & cache": This will open the storage settings for Google Play Services.
• Tap on "Clear cache": This will remove the cache files for Google Play Services.
