When is a lesson marked as completed?
Have you completed a training, but it is not yet in your viewing history? Or are you wondering how our progress is tracked? In this article, we explain how our system determines when a lesson is officially 'completed'.
The 80% Rule
To ensure the quality of your trainings and keep your statistics accurate, we use a threshold for completing a lesson. A lesson is only marked as completed when you have watched at least 80% of the total video.
Note: The system looks at the actual played minutes. So, it doesn't make sense to manually fast-forward to the end; the skipped parts do not count towards your progress.
Why is my lesson not completed?
If a lesson does not appear in your viewing history or you cannot view statistics, it may be for the following reasons:
- Too much fast-forwarding: You did reach the end of the video, but the total playback time was less than 80% of the total duration.
- Ended too early: You stopped before reaching the 80% threshold.
- Connection problems: If your internet connection drops while watching, the data about your progress may not be sent correctly to our system.
Pause and continue later
Don't worry if your training is interrupted or if you decide to take a break. Our system is designed so that you don't have to start over immediately:
- Resume: If you reopen the lesson within 12 hours, the video will continue from where you left off.
- Minutes count: The minutes you watched before the interruption will be saved and count towards the final completion (the 80% threshold).
After 12 hours, the session will reset, and the lesson will start again from the beginning.
